ABOUT MEHello! My name is Siri Bhatt. Thank you for taking the time to learn about my personal leadership journey. First, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am an Indian-American junior studying public health-global health and psychology at the University of Washington. I am passionate about diversity, serving others, and making the most out of my life's experiences. In my free time, I love to do yoga, meditate, and spend time with my family and friends. Over the past few years at UW, I have grown as a leader. I have engaged in unique mentoring experiences and have actively participated in organizations to reach my career goals. My leadership experiences have revolved around these values: perseverance, balance, trust, and family. |
MY VALUES
Perseverance: Perseverance is not giving up, even when faced with adverse or difficult circumstances. Perseverance is important to me because achieving success and fulfilling your passions may only be reached through constant persistence, despite setbacks. Pushing yourself to new limits will only heighten growth.
Balance: Balance requires maintaining an equal distribution of set priorities. Balance is important to me because, as a college student, I have found it increasingly difficult to give importance to all my priorities. I try to find balance in all areas of my life including my physical health, maintaining relationships, academics, and extra-curricular activities.
Trust: Trust means confiding in someone; it brings a sense of security. I value trust because it is vital to build relationships with people who you can fully depend on. Trust builds loyalty and brings people closer together.
Family: My family supports me financially, physically, and emotionally. They are my support system, and I know that I can turn to them when I am in need.

UNDERSTANDING MY "WHY"
My values and leadership identities have shaped me as a student, leader, and future healthcare provider. I do what I do because I believe in a society that is resilient, productive, and free from harm. Health is the most important thing we must prioritize as individuals to achieve this society.
My goal is to become a physician assistant (PA) because of my passion for healthcare and serving others. My decision to become a PA reflects what I want out of my career, to best meet my needs and the people I will serve. By putting others at the forefront of what I do, I hope to engage in servant leadership and build a just and more caring world.
